How to install the Chamelio AI package for Salesforce

Chamelio integrates with Salesforce to streamline your contract workflows. Generate contracts directly from Opportunities, sync legal data in real-time, and operationalize your legal intelligence, all within your Salesforce environment.

Overview

Chamelio is an AI-powered legal intelligence platform built exclusively for in-house legal teams that transforms how organizations manage contracts, policies, and legal documentation. The platform captures insights from your existing legal documents and operationalizes them across core workflows from contract review and negotiation to obligation tracking and playbook generation.

Package Details

  • Package Name: ChamelioAI

  • Version: V1.0

  • Purpose: Enable seamless integration between Chamelio and Salesforce for workflow automation and data sync.

Prerequisites

Before installing ChamelioAI, ensure you have:

  • Salesforce Administrator access and preferably a service account for the connected app

  • A Chamelio account (sign up at app.chamelio.ai)

  • API access enabled in your Salesforce org

  • Lightning Experience enabled

Step 1: Installation Links

Sandbox/Production Installation

[Installation link will be provided by the Chamelio Team per request]

Step 2: Installation Process

  1. Click the appropriate link (Sandbox or Production) above

  2. Log in with your Salesforce admin credentials

  3. On the installation screen, choose "Install for All users" and click Install

  4. Wait for the installation to complete. You'll receive an email confirmation once it's done

Step 3: Connect with Chamelio Application

3.1 Verify Package Installation

After installation, verify the ChamelioAI app appears under App Launcher (9-dot icon).

3.2 Authenticate Salesforce → Chamelio (Outbound)

  1. Go to the Chamelio Admin and click on Authenticate

  2. This will launch the first step of the Authentication process, making a link between your Salesforce Account and Chamelio account and generating an API key for outbound API calls

  3. After clicking the button, you will be redirected to Chamelio website to log in and approve the connection

3.3 Connect Chamelio → Salesforce (Inbound)

  1. To allow Chamelio to update data in real time, we also use Salesforce Connect

  2. Click on the "Connect" button next to the Salesforce App connector

  3. You will be redirected to Salesforce to approve the connection

3.4 Sync the Schema

  1. You are now connected!

  2. To start using the app, go back to the Chamelio settings and Sync the schema

  3. You should use this button every time you've made a schema change in Salesforce that is relevant for the Legal team use cases

Step 4: Add "Generate Contract" Button to Opportunity Record Page

After the package installation, add the Generate Contract Quick Action to your Opportunity Lightning Record Page.

Steps:

  1. Go to SetupObject ManagerOpportunity

  2. Click Buttons, Links, and Actions

  3. Verify that a Quick Action named "Generate Contract" exists (Type: Lightning Web Component, API Name: Generate_Contract)

  4. Click Page Layouts → open the layout you want to update (e.g., Opportunity Layout)

  5. Drag the Generate Contract button into the Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions section

  6. Click Save

Step 5: Post-Installation Verification

After setup:

  • Open any Opportunity record

  • You should see the Generate Contract button in the top action bar

  • Clicking it should open the LWC screen or start the contract generation process
