Email Settings and Forwarding

The Emails section in Settings gives you control over how documents are forwarded to your Knowledge Center and which email addresses are authorized to send documents.

Forwarding Address

Every organization has a unique forwarding email address (for example: contracts@chamelio.ai). Send documents to this address to automatically add them to your Knowledge Center. This is useful for capturing emails and attachments directly into the system without manual uploads.

Authorized Senders

By default, only users within your organization can forward documents. The Authorized Senders section allows you to expand this by adding external email addresses. Any email from an authorized sender will be accepted for document forwarding, making it easy to accept documents from clients, partners, or contractors.

To add an authorized sender:

  1. Locate the email input field in the Authorized Senders section

  2. 2. Enter the external email address

  3. 3. Click the "Add" button

Notification Email for Authorized Contacts

Set up a notification email address that will be alerted when authorized contacts (non-users) successfully forward documents or when forwarding failures occur. This keeps your team informed about document submissions from external parties.

Recent Activity

The Recent Activity section shows a history of all forwarded emails. View sender information, subject lines, submission dates, and delivery status at a glance. This helps you track document submissions and troubleshoot any forwarding issues.
