How to set up your account properly for Chamelio Core usage

To ensure Chamelio Core analyzes and classifies your documents accurately from day one, we need a few details about your organization and contracts.

For detailed instructions on managing settings and configuration in Chamelio, see the related guides: Managing User Groups, Managing Legal Entities, Configure Email Settings and Forwarding, Manage Custom and System Fields, and Managing Notification Preferences.

1. Entity Names 🏢

This list tells Chamelio which names to recognize as part of your organization or as a party to your agreements.

What to provide: A comprehensive list of all legal names for your company, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and any entities that appear as signatories or contracting parties in your agreements.

2. Document Types for Classification 📂

Chamelio uses Document Types to categorize your contracts. We extract a standard set of types by default, but you should review this list and confirm which categories are most important to your internal classification system.

For more information on managing custom and system fields in Chamelio, including field types, scopes, and smart extraction, refer to "Manage Custom and System Fields".

Default Types Extracted:

  • Vendor Agreement

  • Master Services Agreement (MSA)

  • Data Processing Agreement (DPA)

  • Business Associate Agreement (BAA)

  • Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

  • Trial/Evaluation

  • Order Form

  • Statement of Work (SOW)

  • Partnership Agreement

  • Vendor Order Form

  • Other

Action:

  1. Review the list above.

  2. Confirm which of these types you want Chamelio to actively classify.

  3. Specify if you use any additional categories that should be added to this list (e.g., SaaS AgreementDistribution Agreement).

3. Common Exhibits and Attachments 📎

This helps Chamelio correctly associate ancillary documents with their primary contracts.

What to provide: A list of the standard names you use for attachments, schedules, appendices, or exhibits that are frequently appended to your main contract types.

4. Templates for Training 📑

Providing samples of your own agreements is the fastest way to fine-tune Chamelio's analysis to your unique drafting style and contract structure.

What to provide: the collection of the templates you frequently use for the relevant document types you plan to upload to Chamelio Core.
